Colour management.
Caring for colours is a synonym for success. We invest in the latest advances in the colour system, their management and their control.
The colour flow is the true connecting thread of graphic quality. At Quinta Impresión we work together with the latest technology for colour measurement. This ensures quality printing and stable colours thanks to the correct standardisation of the colour parameters in the processes of pre-printing, filming directly on plates and printing.
Thanks to our quality policy, we can react to possible deviations in the different work phases and establish a policy for continuous improvement. The colour cycle from start to finish with the fine-tuned machinery leads to high quality results.
The optimisation and control of each aspect of the work process are carried out through the application of densitometers, point meters and top of the range spectrophotometers in the pre-printing phase as well as the machine run.
These are all of our means and resources to make the projects reality each day:
• Measurement and calibration of accuracy (X-Rite eXact/ Intellitrax): Automatic control of densitometry and spectrophotometry through online measurement instruments in each offset printing device.
• Colour testing under ISO12647/2 standar: Standardisation of colour in the entire printed production.
• Advanced filming. Filming at 200 lpi (screen ruling) and 2400 ppi: Control and monitoring of the behaviour of all offset printing bodies through a maintenance and printing test plan.
• Plate calibrator. ICPlate 2: Maintain the target values established in international standard ISO 12647/2.
• Screen test. Colour adjustments and touch-ups.

Calibration and control.
In order for the work flow to perform correctly, at Quinta Impresión we make sure that all devices that intervene in the same are correctly calibrated with a standardised colour profile for each of the pre-printing and printing processes.
Measurement and calibration are the basis of a reliable work system in order to successfully convey the originals and the customer’s designs.
Colour reliability and trust
All of the devices in our work flow are periodically calibrated and aligned in order to correct possible behavioural deviations that due to usage or other reasons may interfere with correct operation.
In the same way, the computer-to-plate printing device (CTP) is subject to periodic alignments and monthly controls in order to verify and correct, where applicable, possible deviations of the laser in the creation of the printed form. These rigorous controls allow us to maintain correct operation of the CTP and to be able to apply the correct compensation curves in order to obtain the tonal value increase required by regulation ISO 12647/2.
